Pioneer Connect, a Philomath-based phone and high-speed internet provider, has kicked off a 75th anniversary celebration with an announcement that it will spotlight local businesses and community members across Oregon in the coming months.

Through the theme of the celebration, “Proud to be a Pioneer,” a different local business will be highlighted each month to recognize those “that exemplify dedication to their communities” and are celebrated “for their contributions to creating jobs, providing services and overall community enrichment across Oregon.”

A community member will also be recognized each month “for their contributions in strengthening their neighborhoods and communities” and “leads by example and inspires positive change.” Pioneer Connect is accepting nominations online.

Pioneer Connect also plans to host a series of events each quarter to bring together customers, employees and the broader community. Events and special offers will be announced on the company’s website and social media.

“We’re so excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with the people who have helped us reach this point — the businesses and community members who truly make a difference,” James Rennard, Pioneer Connect general manager, said through a press release. “Our Proud to be a Pioneer initiative is our way of saying thank you, as well as a reminder that it’s not just about technology — it’s about connecting people and fostering strong communities.”
