The Philomath Planning Commission plans to meet on Monday, Sept. 20 with an agenda that includes a public hearing on a proposed zoning change for property located on the corner of Applegate Street and South Seventh Street.
Local resident Bryan Whipple submitted the application to change zoning from light industrail to general commercial. The property, which features two lots, is vacant. Whipple plans to develop the lots for business needs.
Following the public hearing, commissioners will discuss the application and possibly make a decision.
Also on the agenda is discussion and decision on municipal code amendments related to landscaping, fences and hedges.
The city plans to hold the meeting through Zoom. The public can access a live feed of the meeting on the city’s Facebook page. For those without internet access, contact City Hall (541-929-6148).
