Approval of an ordinance to officially annex 3.56 acres of property on North Ninth Street and a $2.7 million purchase of membrane filter equipment to go into the city’s new water treatment plant are among the agenda items for the Philomath City Council’s Aug. 12 meeting.

The regular meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Philomath City Hall and can be viewed live on the city’s YouTube channel. It will follow a 5:30 p.m. work session, which was scheduled to allow councilors time to discuss League of Oregon Cities legislative priorities.

Known as the Phelps annexation, the City Council approved the action following a July 22 public hearing. The water treatment plant equipment price, which specifically is $2,675,163, is based on a single bid that was received during the solicitation period. Westech Engineering recommends approval.

Also on the agenda, the council plans to appoint a councilor to help with the process of a city logo and website redesign.
