The Philomath High School girls tennis team rolled over Molalla in a Special District 2 girls tennis match, 7-1. The Warriors swept the doubles matches and won three of four in singles.
Phoebe Dodson and Daniella Carlisle posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over their opponents at No. 1 doubles. The closest doubles match occurred at No. 2 where Nadia Durski and Lorelei Schell outlasted their counterparts, 7-5, 6-4. Mia Cook and Stelle Neville won at No. 3 (6-2, 6-2) and Lillian Hansen and Olivia Cole were winners at No. 4 (6-0, 6-3).
In singles, Bailey Bell and Adele Beckstead continue to dominate opponents with 6-0, 6-0 victories. Elise Reese was a 6-0, 6-0 winner as well with her performance at No. 4 singles.
The closest match occurred at No. 3 singles. Philomath’s Megan Reese won the first set, 6-2, but Molalla’s Kayden Harri evened up the match with a 7-6 result in the second set. Harri took the third set, 6-3.
Philomath hits the road again Tuesday with a 4 p.m. match at Stayton.
