Top rodeo competitors from across the Pacific Northwest will descend on Salem this weekend for the 2025 Northwest Professional Rodeo Association Finals.
The Sept. 19-20 event represents the culmination of a year-long competition circuit, which included the Philomath Frolic and Rodeo in July. Rodeo performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Oregon State Fairgrounds Pavilion.
More than 1,000 contestants competed throughout the year at 40 NPRA rodeos across the Northwest. Only the top 12 cowboys and cowgirls in each discipline earned their spot at finals. Many of the finalists competed at Philomath.
The Saturday matinee performance has been designated as Family Day with special activities and discounted tickets for children.
The Saturday evening finale will crown the year’s champions across all 11 events — bareback, saddle bronc, bull riding, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, team roping, steer wrestling, wild cow milking, barrel racing, novice saddle bronc and novice bareback.
Beyond the arena competition, the weekend offers the Cowboy Marketplace with western boutiques and shopping, as well as live music and dancing with Tony Buckman and the Miscreants following the evening performances.
Tickets are available online at www.nprafinals.com. The Oregon State Fairgrounds Pavilion provides indoor seating for all performances.
