A two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 Thursday afternoon near Eddyville claimed the life of a Toledo man, Oregon State Police reported.
Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 4:11 p.m. May 15 and following a preliminary investigation, authorities reported that a westbound Toyota Camry, driven by 37-year-old Anthony Joel Estrada of Toledo, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound Ford F-250.
Estrada was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, an 18-year-old Canby man, along with two passengers, ages 23 and 30, sustained minor injuries. All three were transported to a hospital in the region for evaluation and treatment.
The highway was impacted for approximately five hours during the on-scene investigation. The incident remains under investigation.
The Oregon Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
