FRIDAY, MAY 9

• No calls of public significance reported.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 1:29 a.m. (North 14th Street) and 4:28 p.m. (Gentry Street).

SATURDAY, MAY 10

• 5:57 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of an out-of-control backyard burn near the intersection of Bellfountain Road and Llewellyn Road. Upon arrival, crews found a permitted burn that included leaves in a ditch line. The fire was under control and being monitored by the homeowner.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 11:10 a.m. (South 17th Street), 12:23 p.m. (Rosecrest Drive) and 6:01 p.m. (Primrose Loop).

SUNDAY, MAY 11

• 10:13 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a hazmat incident in the 700 block of North 12th Street involving a homeowner who accidentally mixed two cleaning chemicals, which created a strong odor. Crews investigated and consulted with the regional hazmat team. Crews safely disposed of the chemicals.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 14

• 10:13 a.m. — Firefighters responded to the 1000 block of Main Street to find a landscaping railroad tie on fire. The tie was moved to a paved area and extinguished. The property owners were notified about the incident.
