Temperatures will reach the 80s Friday and Saturday — at least that’s what the forecast predicts — with a bit of a cooling off on Sunday with highs in the low 70s. So, maybe it’s a good time to get outside with the fam.
Here’s a rundown of Philomath events and activities for the weekend — defined here as 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday — along with a selected few from neighboring communities.

Tickets are $15 and available online. The theater is located at 115 SW Second St., Corvallis.
Saturday, June 22
Lumos Wine Co. will host singer-songwriter Randy McCoy for shows from 2-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. If you’ve never been, the Lumos winery is a pretty cool spot with an impressive tasting room situated in the “Big Ol’ Barn” with nice views. These folks welcome outside food and picnics and are also “kiddo and doggo” friendly (as long as the doggos stay outside). They regularly schedule live music during the summer months. McCoy writes and performs on guitar, ukulele, harmonica and mandolin. He’s been doing shows in the Pacific Northwest since 1982. He sometimes performs as “The McCoys” with his wife and two of their kids. He has an album entitled “Here.” Lumos is located at 24000 Cardwell Hill Drive (head west out of Philomath on Highway 20, take a right on Kings Valley Road and after a mile or so, take another right on Cardwell Hill Drive. The winery will be about two-tenths of a mile down the road on the right side).

Current exhibits at Philomath Museum “What Is it?” on the ground floor and “Bringing the World Together: Paintings and Prints by Betty LaDuke” in the upstairs gallery. “What Is It?” is an exhibition with objects that were used locally in the past and would have been familiar to most people living then. It’s an opportunity to enjoy your encounters with the past. The LaDuke exhibition focuses on social justice from multiple perspectives with colorful, elaborate totems and turtles carrying messages of resilience. The retrospective art exhibition includes paintings, prints and panels created between 1972 and 2023.
