The Music in the Park summer concert series continues Sunday with an appearance by the Barrie Dempsey Duo. The event begins at 6 p.m. at Philomath City Park.

The free concerts are staged in the Randy Kugler Community Hall and gazebo area. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Mud Oven Pizza is typically on site for concessions at the Sunday concerts.

The Barrie Dempsey Duo plays folk and Americana. Joining Dempsey on stage will be Woody Woods. Dempsey is a veteran musician who is in his sixth decade of performances. Woods owns a live music venue company and a recording studio in Dayton.

Remaining concerts in this summer’s series include The Nettles on Aug. 15 and Family Tradition on Aug. 25.
