The Philomath School Board plans to meet for its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday with an agenda that includes routine reports, agreements related to a COVID-19 vaccination policy and surveillance video equipment, several policy readings and other business.
Those giving reports include the superintendent, director of finance, school principals, student government and the associations.
A Philomath High School presentation is planned to recognize Native American Awareness Month. The board will also discuss candidates to support for Oregon School Boards Association board of directors and legislative policy committee positions.
The board will vote on a consent agenda that includes various comings and goings of staff, as well as the winter sports coaches.
The board will begin its evening at 5:30 p.m. with a joint work session with the Kings Valley Charter School Board. An executive session will follow at 6:30 p.m. to discuss labor negotiations and to evaluate the employment-related performance of a district employee. Executive sessions are closed to the public.
The PSD office is located at 1620 Applegate St., with access to the meeting through a door at the back of the building. Meetings are also live streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
