The Philomath School Board plans to meet for a special meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday with the evening beginning in executive session.
Following the closed meeting, board members could possibly announce a final decision in an open meeting on a complaint that had been brought against the district.
The executive session will occur as allowed by state law to “consider the dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employees, staff member or individual agent who does not request an open hearing” and “to consider records exempt by law from public inspection.”
The School Board met July 9 under those same reasons along with labor negotiations.
For those interested in sitting in on the open session, the Philomath School District office is located at 1620 Applegate St., with access to the meeting through a door at the back of the building. Open meetings are also streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
