Samaritan Health Services announced this week that COVID-19 vaccines are now available at all seven of its retail pharmacy locations in the mid-Willamette Valley and central coast.
The vaccines are available to anyone age 7 and older on a walk-in basis with no prescription or appointment necessary.
While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is primarily recommending this year’s COVID-19 vaccine for adults 65 and older, the West Coast Health Alliance is encouraging vaccination for individuals with underlying health conditions and supports access for anyone seeking protection.
Most insurance plans are expected to cover the cost of the vaccine, Samaritan officials said.
Samaritan pharmacies offering the vaccine include two locations in Corvallis, two in Albany and one each in Lebanon, Sweet Home and Lincoln City. The Corvallis locations are at 3521 NW Samaritan Drive and on the Oregon State University campus at 845 SW 30th St.
In addition to COVID-19 vaccines, flu shots are available at all Samaritan pharmacy locations. In addition, a drive-thru flu shot clinic in this area will go from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Belvue Warehouse parking lot in Corvallis.
Patients with questions about vaccination are encouraged to consult with a pharmacist or healthcare provider, officials advised.
