The Benton County Community Development Department will host an information and feedback session at 6 p.m. Thursday at Wren Community Hall related to an upcoming update of the Benton County Comprehensive Development Plan.
Residents of Blodgett, Hoskins, Kings Valley, Philomath, Summit and Wren are invited to the event, however, any Benton County resident is welcome to attend, organizers said. No virtual option is available.
The Benton County Comprehensive Plan serves as the official policy guide for decisions about growth, development and conservation of natural resources outside of incorporated cities in the county.
The current countywide plan was adopted in 2007. Rural Unincorporated Community Plans for Alpine, Alsea, Bellfountain, Greenberry and Wren can also be found online. Updates are scheduled every 20 years.
For those who may or may not attend the informational meeting, there is an online survey that residents are invited to complete that addresses priorities.
