The Philomath Youth Activities Club announced that the board of directors has opted to postpone the 14th annual Community Carnival, which had been scheduled for Sept. 24.
“There were too many uncertainties and concerns at this time to try to safely and successfully put on such a big event,” Eddie Van Vlack, PYAC executive director, said in an email. “We will be working hard to find an alternative date to offer the event and we will notify folks as soon as we have one.”
The PYAC Community Carnival, which typically features bounce houses, games, food and a silent auction, serves as an important annual fundraiser for the youth organization.
