PHILOMATH POLICE DEPARTMENT

FRIDAY, JULY 28

• 10:16 p.m. — Police arrested an individual in the 1100 block of Main Street on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Other calls: Police responses included a repossessed vehicle at 1:02 a.m., found dog at 6:59 a.m., suspicious vehicle at 11:41 a.m., suspicious person at 6:32 p.m., and a welfare check at 6:35 p.m. PPD reported 10 traffic stops.

SATURDAY, JULY 29

• 5:13 a.m. — Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 3100 block of Main Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

Other calls: Police responses included citizen contact at 2:25 a.m., disorderly conduct at 10:12 a.m., and a welfare check at 5:16 p.m. PPD reported six traffic stops.

SUNDAY, JULY 30

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a traffic hazard situation at 4:49 a.m., disorderly conduct at 7:24 p.m., and domestic disturbance (no report filed) at 8:36 p.m. PPD reported no traffic stops.

MONDAY, JULY 31

• 10:20 a.m. — Police responded to a report of burglary in the 1100 block of Applegate Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

• 1:27 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the 100 block of North 14th Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number. 

Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 8:07 a.m., dog at large at 9:11 a.m., illegal camping at 1:15 p.m. and a lost dog at 7:23 p.m. Police also assisted at the scene of a motorcycle crash at North Ninth Street and Heritage Hills Drive at 12:54 p.m., and assisted the Corvallis Police Department on a call at Southwest 53rd Street and Philomath Boulevard at 7:54 p.m. PPD reported one traffic stop.

TUESDAY, AUG. 1

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a parking complaint at 9:37 a.m., and a report of a suspicious person at 4:02 p.m. PPD reported five traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 2

• 12:50 p.m. — Police followed up on an abandoned vehicle situation in the 100 block of South 10th Street. A report was filed with a case number.

• 4:57 p.m. — Police took a report of theft in the 3100 block of Main Street. No other details were made available other than the report was assigned a case number.

• 11:40 p.m. — Police responded to the scene of a crash in the 24700 block of Highway 20/34. No injuries were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included dog at large at 10:43 a.m., dog in a hot vehicle at 2:16 p.m., person assistance at 3:34 p.m., and harassment at 6:27 p.m. PPD reported four traffic stops.

THURSDAY, AUG. 3

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a repossessed vehicle at 2:54 a.m. In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 12:32 a.m. in the area of Fern Road and Powder House Road. PPD reported two traffic stops.

MONDAY, JULY 24

• 12:25 a.m. — Police responded to an abandoned vehicle call in the 400 block of Landmark Drive.

TUESDAY, JULY 25

• 6:27 p.m. — Deputies responded to an identity theft call at a Lillian Drive residence involving a 20-year-old woman who received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service that someone had filed taxes under her Social Security number. Deputies collected information and assigned a case number.

FRIDAY, JULY 28

• 3:55 p.m. — Deputies contacted a 53-year-old Philomath man via telephone who appeared to be a victim of identity theft. The man’s driver’s license and social security number had been used to access his account on a government website. The agency managing the website was contacted regarding the situation.

TUESDAY, AUG. 1

• 6:50 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to a Blitz Lane address in Blodgett for a report of a dog in custody. BCSO transported a medium-sized brown collie mix to Heartland Humane Society.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 2

• Deputies spoke with a Philomath woman (time not reported) about the fraudulent purchase of two iPhones through Verizon on her family’s business account. The victim was working with Verizon to try to have the charges reversed.

• 8:28 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of someone in a white truck littering in an area of Evergreen Road near milepost 1. BCSO reported that the vehicle couldn’t be located and could not find any garbage on the roadway or in the ditches.

• 8:55 p.m. — Deputies took a report via telephone from a Philomath resident involving trespassing on an Evergreen Road property.
