The Philomath High School girls tennis team upped its district record to 4-1 and its overall record to 9-2 with an 8-0 victory Wednesday at Estacada.

Only one match went the full three sets between the two schools with Megan Reese defeating Ruby Anderson at No. 3 singles, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Other singles winners included Bailey Bell (6-0, 6-0) and Elise Reese (6-4, 6-2). Adele Beckstead, the team’s No. 2 singles player, was awarded a win by forfeit.

Philomath dominated all four doubles matches. Those winners included Daniella Carlisle and Nadia Durski (6-0, 6-0), Lorelei Schell and Lucie Oster (6-1, 6-0), Lucy King and Kate Burriel (6-2, 6-0) and Clara Neville and Lucy Thomas (6-0, 6-0).

Philomath is scheduled to play next on Tuesday at home against Junction City.
