The Philomath Scout Lodge will host its third annual Nonprofit Rummage Sale on Saturday to give area nonprofit organizations a free venue to sell donated items and raise money for their causes.

The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Philomath Scout Lodge, 660 Clemens Mill Road, with free admission for shoppers throughout the event. From 1 to 2 p.m., shoppers can fill a bag with items from the lodge’s own tables for $5.

All proceeds from the lodge’s sales will go toward replacing the facility’s 17-year-old hot water heater. As of the latest update, the lodge had raised roughly $10,200 toward its $16,800 goal.

Any Philomath Scout Lodge items that don’t sell during the event will be donated to Marys River Grange No. 685.

The rummage sale has become an annual fundraising event for the lodge, which relies on the sale and other revenue to help cover building upkeep.
