THURSDAY, JULY 23
• 9:29 a.m. — BCSO cited a 41-year-old Philomath man on a misdemeanor charge of failure to register as a sex offender at a Houser Lane address. Hollings was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
TUESDAY, JULY 28
• 9:35 a.m. — BCSO responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Brumfield Lane in which a vehicle pulling a stock trailer stopped abruptly, causing a rear-end collision. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. One driver was later transported by Corvallis EMTs for evaluation.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 29
• Time NA — BCSO responded to a report of a found wallet on Mustang Lane in Philomath. A resident discovered the wallet in her shed and contacted deputies. The wallet was returned to its owner, a 49-year-old Albany man.
• 3:25 p.m. — BCSO took a report from the Philomath Youth Activities Club’s executive director who said a powder blue, 25-ton Country Line wood splitter valued at $2,000 had been stolen a couple of weeks earlier from a gravel pullout on Highway 20. See separate story.
