FRIDAY, JULY 12

• 12:32 p.m. — Philomath Police arrested a 56-year-old Marcola man during a traffic stop near Southwest 53rd Street and Southwest Country Club Drive in Corvallis following a “road rage” incident that occurred in Philomath and allegedly involved the pointing of a firearm. The Corvallis Police Department assisted with the arrest.

• 5:57 p.m. — Philomath Police took a theft report in the 1400 block of College Street. No other details were available.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious vehicle at 2:54 a.m. (Fern Road and Powder House Road), towing of an abandoned vehicle at 2:09 p.m. (Cedar Street), citizen assistance at 7:12 p.m. (Main Street), minor in possession at 8:11 p.m. (North 13th Street), missing persons reported at 9:04 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a 911 hang-up call at 9:59 p.m. (South Eighth Street). PPD reported 12 traffic stops.

SATURDAY, JULY 13

• 1:09 p.m. — Philomath Police took a missing person report for an individual last seen on July 3.

• 9:54 p.m. — Philomath Police responded to a crash at North Ninth Street and College Street. No injuries were reported.

• 10:54 p.m. — Philomath Police arrested a 53-year-old Monroe woman in the 500 block of South 13th Street on a misdemeanor charge of harassment with physical contact/simple assault.

Other calls: Police responses included citizen contact at 1:32 a.m (Southwest 53rd Street and Southwest Country Club Drive, Corvallis), foot patrol at 3:17 a.m. (South 13th Street), lost property at 11:21 a.m. (Applegate Street and South 19th Street), juvenile complaint at 7:57 p.m. (South 13th Street) and a disturbance at 11:54 p.m. (College Street). PPD reported 18 traffic stops.

SUNDAY, JULY 14

• 2:54 p.m. — Police during a traffic stop at Southwest Country Club Drive and Southwest Philomath Boulevard assisted a woman who complained of a possible heart attack. Medics transported the woman to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.

• 3:32 p.m. — Police responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 400 block of North Ninth Street. Police reported that during a family gathering, a gun was accidentally discharged and an adult male suffered an injury to a finger. The man was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.

Other calls: Police responses included a noise disturbance at 1:55 a.m. (South 16th Street), disturbance at 2:35 a.m. (North 14th Street) and a suspicious circumstance at 7:33 p.m. (Richard Place and Neabeack Hill Drive). PPD reported 12 traffic stops.

MONDAY, JULY 15

• 11:23 a.m. — Police delivered a no trespassing letter to a 30-year-old Philomath man on North 14th Street that prohibits him from appearing on any school district properties. The same man was also cited and released on municipal warrants out of Corvallis.  

Other calls: PPD reported one traffic stop.

TUESDAY, JULY 16

• 10:49 a.m. — Police took a report of threats made in the 300 block of North 16th Lane. A report was taken and assigned a case number.

Other calls: Police responses included an abandoned vehicle at 12:05 p.m. (Landmark Drive), dogs at large at 1:39 p.m. (North Eighth Street and Pioneer Street), extra patrol at 2:30 p.m. (South 17th Street and Cedar Street) and a found dog at 3:48 p.m. (Melvill Cres). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 8:29 p.m. (Highway 20). PPD reported no traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included found property at 11:36 a.m. (South 13th Street), argument at 3:11 p.m. (Robb Place) and a welfare check at 6:10 p.m. (North 12th Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 1:30 p.m. (Marys River Estates Road). PPD reported no traffic stops.

THURSDAY, JULY 18

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a disturbance at 7:39 a.m. (North 11th Street and Pioneer Street) and an animal complaint at 2:22 p.m. (South 13th Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 10:06 p.m. (Old Peak Road). PPD reported one traffic stop.
