People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.
FRIDAY, JUNE 5
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a noncriminal issue at 9:09 p.m. (South 13th Street). PPD reported nine traffic stops.
SATURDAY, JUNE 6
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included removing a large piece of wood in the roadway at 2:43 p.m. (Highway 20) and a juvenile fight at 8:04 p.m. (South 16th Street). PPD reported nine traffic stops.
SUNDAY, JUNE 7
• 1:33 a.m. — Police responded to a report of assault in the 700 block of Main Street with a man reporting that someone had broken his nose.
• 2:47 a.m. — Police arrested a man (age, city of residence not reported) on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. The man was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
Other calls: Police responses included a noise disturbance at 4:37 p.m. (South 17th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 9:09 a.m. (Highway 34, Alsea). PPD reported three traffic stops.
MONDAY, JUNE 8
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police assisted other agencies on calls at 9:48 a.m. (no address reported) and 12:38 p.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis). PPD reported no traffic stops.
TUESDAY, JUNE 9
• 8:01 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving a vehicle that damaged the Subway building on South 19th Street. The driver was contacted and a parent advised of the situation and was warned for careless driving. The business and the driver were provided with crash forms.
• 6:12 p.m. — Police responded to a report of criminal mischief at Dollar General on Main Street involving a vehicle with scratch marks. The victim believed someone might have keyed his vehicle.
• 6:51 p.m. — Police responded to a suspicious circumstance at a business in the 1900 block of Main Street involving a man who was attempting to get money by claiming he was with the Marshal’s Office.
Other calls: PPD reported six traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10
• 2:43 p.m. — Police responded to a report of possible fraud involving the sale of a lawn mower on Facebook Marketplace. The buyer claimed to have sent money and was requesting a refund, but the caller had not received any payment.
• 4:26 p.m. — Police responded to a disorderly conduct situation on the Philomath Connection bus involving a woman who was swearing and making riders uncomfortable. The woman was asked to get off the bus at 16th Street and Applegate Street. After identifying herself, the woman was trespassed from using the bus in the future.
• 10:09 p.m. — Police responded to a report of juveniles attempting to get onto the roof of a building at Philomath High School. Juveniles in the area were warned against climbing on the roof by staff and law enforcement.
Other calls: Police responses included a juvenile complaint at 9:43 a.m. (Philomath High School), welfare check at 2:47 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive), city ordinance violation at 3 p.m. (Richard Place), aggressive behavior from a dog at 5:47 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive), welfare check at 5:49 p.m. (South 17th Street), extra patrol at 8 p.m. (Applegate Street), report of an argument at 8:21 p.m. (James Street), criminal mischief at 8:43 p.m. (North 12th Street) and a verbal argument at 11 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 4:51 p.m. (Acorn Court). PPD reported two traffic stops.
THURSDAY, JUNE 11
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 1:09 a.m. (Philomath High School) and a welfare check at an address in Newport at 6:24 p.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
