FRIDAY, NOV. 8
• 11:30 a.m. — Police responded to a report of graffiti sprayed on the inside and outside of restrooms located at Philomath City Park.
• 11:57 a.m. — Police responded to a report of shoplifting involving the theft of $25.99 in beer at Philomath Market.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 8:31 a.m. (Main Street), abandoned vehicle at 11:31 a.m. (North 11th Street), 911 hang-up call at 12:32 p.m. (South 19th Street), dog found and returned to owner at 12:34 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive and North Ninth Street), suspicious vehicle at 1:16 p.m. (Vincent Street), extra patrol at 3:10 p.m. (South 23rd Street), extra patrol at 4:50 p.m. (South 23rd Street), extra patrol at 8:56 p.m. (South 23rd Street) and extra patrol at 10:12 p.m. (South 23rd Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 3:07 a.m. (Southwest 53rd Street, Corvallis) and 8:27 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive). PPD reported 10 traffic stops.
SATURDAY, NOV. 9
• 6:46 p.m. — Police responded to a report of graffiti in the 100 block of South 11th Street.
Other calls: Police responses included extra patrol at 12:04 a.m. (South 23rd Street), extra patrol at 12:59 a.m. (South 23rd Street), extra patrol at 5:37 a.m. (South 23rd Street), extra patrol at 12:09 p.m. (South 23rd Street), attempt to find lost property at 2:03 p.m. (Newton Street and Main Street), suicidal subject at 3:50 p.m. (Main Street), extra patrol at 6:32 p.m. (South 23rd Street), extra patrol at 9:16 p.m. (South 23rd Street) and extra patrol at 11:10 p.m. (South 23rd Street). In addition, police assisted another agency at 10:08 a.m. (Southwest Technology Loop, Corvallis). PPD reported 40 traffic stops.
SUNDAY, NOV. 10
• 9:21 a.m. — Police responded to a report of harassment at a gas station on Main Street between an employee and a male customer purchasing propane. After reviewing video of the incident, the man was contacted via phone and told that if he returned to the location, he would be arrested.
Other calls: Police responses included extra patrol at 2:19 a.m. (South 23rd Street) and a found dog returned to the owner at 7:55 a.m. (Applegate Street and South 15th Street), civil dispute involving the use of a vehicle at 8:19 a.m. (North Ninth Street), extra patrol at 8:22 a.m. (South 23rd Street), custodial interference at 10:16 a.m. (North Seventh Street), extra patrol at 5:26 p.m. (South 23rd Street), lost dog at 8:09 p.m. (North Seventh Street) and delivery of an emergency message at 9:43 p.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported seven traffic stops.
MONDAY, NOV. 11
• 7:14 p.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 1500 block of Main Street. No injuries were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included extra patrol at 9:35 a.m. (South 23rd Street), extra patrol at 4:39 p.m. (South 23rd Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 3:34 p.m. (Bellfountain Road). PPD reported one traffic stop.
TUESDAY, NOV. 12
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included extra patrol at 12:35 a.m. (South 23rd Street), welfare check at 9:18 a.m. (no address reported) and extra patrol at 11:43 a.m. (South 23rd Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 7:16 a.m. (Highway 20) and 11:50 a.m. (Main Street. PPD reported no traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 13
• 9:52 a.m. — Police responded to a report of theft that had occurred between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of South 13th Street involving a Stihl chainsaw taken from the back of a pickup. The stolen chainsaw was valued at $1,600.
• 11:50 a.m. — Police responded to a report of third-degree criminal mischief with criminal damage in the 1200 block of Main Street involving graffiti that had been painted on an exterior wall of a commercial building.
Other calls: Police responses included a repossessed vehicle at 3:14 a.m. (College Street), event detail at 1:18 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a welfare check at 9:18 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 10:40 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
THURSDAY, NOV. 14
• 9:17 a.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 2200 block of Applegate Street. No injuries were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included an animal complaint at 1:12 p.m. (South 17th Street and Maple Street), dog bite at 4:23 p.m. (College Street) and extra patrol at 11:32 p.m. (South 23rd Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
FOLLOW-UP REPORTS
SUNDAY, NOV. 3
• 12:20 p.m. — Police responded to a welfare check on an elderly woman who had been walking on Fern Road near Llewellyn Road and appeared to be confused, so a local resident brought her to a church in Philomath where police met them. The woman was identified as a person who had walked away from an assisted living facility on Merrie Street in Corvallis. The Philomath resident drove the woman back to the facility and police followed in his police car. It was discovered that the woman suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s.
MONDAY, NOV. 4
• 12:33 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at Applegate Street and South 20th Street involving a juvenile driver who damaged a stop sign. No injuries were reported.
