DAILY REPORTS

FRIDAY, SEPT. 6

• 4:18 p.m. — Police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at the scene of a crash in the 24700 block of Grange Hall Road. No injuries were reported.

• 11:22 p.m. — Police arrested a 16-year-old boy on a parole violation in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Other calls: Police responses included extra patrol at 8:48 a.m. (Main Street), citizen assistance at 9:01 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a suspicious circumstance (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at noon (South 18th Street). PPD reported eight traffic stops.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 7

• 8:48 a.m. — Police responded to a report of gunshots heard from an apartment on North 15th Street. The tenants were found to be OK.

• 3:12 p.m. — Police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the 24800 block of Highway 20/34. No injuries were reported. 

Other calls: Police responses included a dog at large at 12:25 p.m. (Pioneer Street and North Ninth Street) and a report of suspicious vehicles at 12:39 p.m. (Cedar Street). PPD reported 15 traffic stops.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 8

• 7:11 a.m. — Police responded to a report from a citizen that a restraining order had been violated.

• 1:57 p.m. — Police responded to a report from a man on North 10th Street who said his license plate had been stolen sometime within the past two days.

Other calls: Police responses included a city ordinance violation at 8:26 p.m. (Main Street) and disorderly conduct at 10:31 p.m. (Pioneer Street). In addition, police another agency on a call at 7:30 p.m. (Finch Lane). PPD reported 20 traffic stops.

MONDAY, SEPT. 9

• 1:47 p.m. — Police responded to a report of threats in the 2000 block of Applegate Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

• 1:48 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft in the 1300 block of Applegate Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number. 

Other calls: Police responses included a noise disturbance at 1:22 a.m. (Main Street), foot patrol at 10:04 a.m. (South 13th Street) and dogs at large at 1:24 p.m. (South 16th Street).

TUESDAY, SEPT. 10

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included threats made at 8:55 a.m. (Applegate Street), traffic complaint at 11:15 a.m. (North Ninth Street and College Street), suspicious vehicle at 11:23 a.m. (South 23rd Street), citizen assistance at 2:07 p.m. (South Ninth Street), littering violation at 4:51 p.m. (College Street) and a welfare check at 9:56 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 8:11 p.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis). PPD reported four traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11

• 10:21 p.m. — Police responded to a suspicious circumstance in the 1600 block of Applegate Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

Other calls: Police responses included citizen contact at 2:11 a.m. (Main Street), welfare check at 2:44 p.m. (Applegate Street), extra patrol at 3:38 p.m. (South 23rd Street), report of fraud at 4:01 p.m. (Applegate Street) and citizen assistance at 5:25 p.m. (Clemens Mill Road). PPD reported nine traffic stops.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 12

• 7:34 a.m. — Police responded to a report from the Philomath School District of a threat against Philomath Academy that had been heard on a school bus. See separate story.

• 4:42 p.m. — Police responded to a report of fraud (address not listed). No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

Other calls: Police responses included a noise disturbance at 6:23 a.m. (South 17th Street and Ash Street), suspicious person at 8:36 a.m. (Main Street), argument at 9:44 a.m. (Landmark Drive and Main Street) and motorist assistance at 1:14 p.m. (South 19th Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.
