FRIDAY, SEPT. 6

• 11:45 a.m. — Firefighters responded to the scene of a pressurized gas leak in the 400 block of South 18th Street when construction personnel cut through a line. No injuries were reported.

• 12:30 p.m. — Philomath Fire and Rescue personnel and apparatus transferred from the Oak Canyon Fire off Highway 216 in Tygh Valley to the Rail Ridge Fire near Dayville as part of Benton County’s immediate response team. On assignment were a brush truck with Lt. Levi Schell and volunteer Lt. Paula Anderson and a water tender with volunteer firefighter Chris Leonard and resident volunteer Jayden Lindberg. In addition, volunteer firefighter Capt. Andy Louden was assigned as a deputy incident commander for the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s incident management team (blue).

• 2:04 p.m. — Firefighters responded as part of an all-county call to a grass fire in the 25000 block of Grange Hall Road. The fire, which was determined to have started during mowing at the property, was managed by Philomath personnel with other agencies canceled. Philomath Fire and Rescue publishes a list of public-use restrictions on its website.

• 4:14 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a power line incident in the 24000 block of Grange Hall Road. It was determined that construction crews in the area had accidentally clipped the power lines, which sparked a small fire, which was extinguished by Philomath Fire and Rescue.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 12:21 p.m. (Applegate Street).

SATURDAY, SEPT. 7

• No calls of public significance reported.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 12:21 a.m. (Houser Lane) and 1:21 p.m. (Decker Road).

SUNDAY, SEPT. 8

• 12:01 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a burning complaint in the 24000 block of Highway 20.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 6:35 p.m. (College Street).

MONDAY, SEPT. 9

• 3:54 p.m. — Emergency medical services personnel participated on a mutual aid call in the 21500 block of South Fork Road, Alsea.

• 8:18 p.m. — Emergency medical services personnel participated on a mutual aid call in the 600 block of Commercial Street, Monroe.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 5:51 p.m. (Joseph Lane).

TUESDAY, SEPT. 10

• 12:04 p.m. — Emergency medical services personnel participated on a mutual aid call in the 23000 block of Hoskins Road.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11

• No calls reported.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 12

• 8:45 a.m. — Emergency medical services personnel responded to a crash in the 35000 block of Tum Tum Road, Blodgett. Philomath’s crews were canceled en route.

• 10:41 a.m. — Firefighters went on standby at the Benton County Fairgrounds as backup for the Corvallis Fire Department.

• 11:45 a.m. — Emergency medical services personnel responded to a single-vehicle crash at Maxfield Creek Road and Kings Valley Highway. An engine company with three personnel and a duty officer answered the call to assist Hoskins-Kings Valley Rural Fire at the scene. The vehicle’s driver was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
