FRIDAY, APRIL 25
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a dog found at 1:27 a.m. (South 15th Street), city ordinance violation at 2:03 p.m. (Main Street), citizen contact at 3:05 p.m. (Applegate Street), shots heard at 3:52 p.m. (North Ninth Street and Pioneer Street) and citizen contact at 3:58 p.m. (South 15th Street). PPD reported eight traffic stops.
SATURDAY, APRIL 26
• 6:32 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at Highway 20 and Woods Creek Road. No injuries were reported.
Other calls: PPD reported 14 traffic stops.
SUNDAY, APRIL 27
• 12:52 a.m. — Police responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of Main Street. After investigating, the responding officer determined that no crime had occurred.
Other calls: Police responses included a lost dog at 7:26 p.m. (Newton Street) and extra patrol at 11:07 p.m. (North 19th Street). PPD reported nine traffic stops.
MONDAY, APRIL 28
• 5:23 p.m. — Police responded to a report of fraud in the 2000 block of Applegate Street. A resident who had been talking to a female was contacted by a man claiming to be her father and that she was underage. The caller requested $9,000. The resident was then called by someone claiming to be police, who threatened to arrest him if he didn’t work out the issue with the father. Police identified the situation as a common scam and advised the resident to ignore the calls.
• 11:13 p.m. — Police arrested a 37-year-old Philomath woman in the 2000 block of College Street on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended.
Other calls: PPD reported two traffic stops.
TUESDAY, APRIL 29
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a dog found at 1:50 p.m. (South 13th Street), city ordinance violation at 1:58 p.m. (Pioneer Street) and a juvenile complaint at 8:47 p.m. In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 5:14 p.m. (Gellatly Way). PPD reported three traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30
• 7:51 p.m. — Police detained a 63-year-old Philomath man on a mental hold following a response in south Philomath.
Other calls: Police responses included a dog at large at 8:12 a.m. (South 30th Street and Acorn Court). Police assisted another agency on a call at 11:25 p.m. (Peterson Road and Airport Avenue). PPD reported no traffic stops.
THURSDAY, MAY 1
• 6:59 p.m. — Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1900 block of Main Street. Upon arrival, Police separated those involved and determined that no criminal activity had occurred.
• 10:09 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at North 19th Street and Main Street. No other information was provided.
• 11:13 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an intoxicated woman who walked into Philomath Fire and Rescue. Police provided the woman with transportation home and no further action was taken.
Other calls: Police responses included a warrant service attempt at 11:25 a.m. (South 15th Street), discovery of an abandoned bicycle at 11:35 a.m. (at Dollar General), response to a possible driving under the influence of intoxicants situation at 2:32 p.m. (Main Street) and littering violation at 3:41 p.m. (James Street and Marlon Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 8:53 a.m. (South 15th Street) and 5:58 p.m. (Kings Valley Highway). PPD reported five traffic stops.
