Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.
FRIDAY, FEB. 13
• 2:06 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South 19th Street and Applegate Street. According to a report, a driver ran a stop sign at Applegate and struck a vehicle that was headed south on South 19th. No injuries were reported.
• 6:31 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Southwest 53rd Street and Philomath Boulevard in Corvallis. The drivers of both vehicles were reportedly injured and transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Other calls: Police responses included a probation home visit at 4:01 p.m. (Pioneer Street). PPD reported seven traffic stops.
SATURDAY, FEB. 14
• No calls of significance were reported.

SUNDAY, FEB. 15
• 12:56 a.m. — Police arrested a 42-year-old Portland woman in the 800 block of Main Street on a misdemeanor charge of failure to register as a sex offender.
• 1:13 a.m. — Police assisted an 81-year-old man who struck a curb near the entrance of Les Schwab Tire Center while passing a traffic stop, resulting in a flat tire. The driver was transported to a local motel and his vehicle was towed to Les Schwab for repair in the morning.
• 9:28 a.m. — Police arrested a 33-year-old Corvallis man on a misdemeanor charge of providing false information to police/impersonation during a traffic stop near College Street and North 18th Street.
Other calls: Police responses included citizen assistance at 10:07 a.m. (Quail Glenn Drive) and citizen assistance at 3:29 p.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported eight traffic stops.
MONDAY, FEB. 16
• 5:16 p.m. — Police responded to a report of kids riding around on a motorized bike on the loop at Philomath City Park. Per city ordinance, no crime had been committed.
Other calls: Police responses included a report of a dog barking at 10:29 a.m. (North 12th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 9:27 a.m. (Lobster Valley Road, Alsea). PPD reported three traffic stops.
TUESDAY, FEB. 17
• 9:39 p.m. — Police arrested a 37-year-old Philomath man on a misdemeanor strangulation charge during a call to a location on North 11th Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a report of possible domestic violence at 9:44 a.m. (Quail Glenn Drive), complaint of an abandoned vehicle at 2:28 p.m. (Newton Street), complaint of an abandoned vehicle at 2:40 p.m. (Applegate Street and Vincent Street) and someone yelling at 8:55 p.m. (Marlon Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 12:38 p.m. (Canberra Drive). PPD reported six traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 18
• 7:10 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an icy road-related crash in the 2500 block of West Hills Road. No injuries were reported.
• 5:59 p.m. — Police responded to a report of harassment at a business in the 600 block of Main Street. No injuries were reported with no medical attention needed. There was no report of a possible arrest.
• 7 p.m. — An adult male with a mental health concern was taken into custody on a police officer hold. The man was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
Other calls: PPD reported one traffic stop.
THURSDAY, FEB. 19
• 1:36 p.m. — Police responded to a report of shoplifting from a business in the 900 block of Main Street. The suspect, who was seen on video taking approximately $400 in merchandise, left on foot.
Other calls: Police responses included a 911 hang-up call at 9:33 a.m. (Chapel Drive) and a suicidal subject at 10:59 a.m. (North 11th Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 10:35 a.m. (North Eighth Street), 11:21 a.m. (Applegate Street), 1:29 p.m. (Stovall Lane) and 11:48 p.m. (Marys River Estates Road). PPD reported three traffic stops.
