Other calls: Police responses included a dog at large (Main Street and North 15th Street), welfare check at 12:16 p.m. (Main Street and South 26th Street), welfare check at 12:38 p.m. (North 20th Street) and a suspicious circumstance at 1:12 p.m. (North 12th Street). In addition, police assisted the Corvallis Police Department on a call at 7:46 p.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis) and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 11:37 p.m. (Northwest 53rd Street, Corvallis). PPD reported eight traffic stops.
SATURDAY, AUG. 3
• Time NA — Police arrested a 55-year-old man (city of residence not reported) in the 3000 block of Main Street on a misdemeanor charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver with property damage.
Other calls: Police responses included contact with a citizen at 1:01 a.m. (Main Street) and a suspicious person at 8:12 a.m. (Green Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 2:35 p.m. (North 18th Street) and 4:22 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported 10 traffic stops.
SUNDAY, AUG. 4
• 3:27 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft at South Ninth Street and Applegate Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
• 9:32 p.m. — Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a business in the 600 block of Main Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
• 10:44 p.m. — Police arrested a 58-year-old man (city of residence not reported) on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (drugs) during a traffic stop in the 700 block of Applegate Street.
Other calls: Police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 1:43 p.m. (Highway 20 and Davis Road). PPD reported six traffic stops.
MONDAY, AUG. 5
• 9:19 p.m. — Police arrested a 65-year-old man (city of residence not reported) on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (drugs) during a traffic stop on Highway 20 and Marys River Estates Road.
Other calls: Police responses included an animal complaint at 9:44 a.m. (Chapel Drive and Willowbrook Drive), missing person at 11:44 a.m. (Topaz Street), dog complaint (North 14th Street and College Street) and a traffic hazard (South 13th Street and Chapel Drive). PPD reported five traffic stops.
TUESDAY, AUG. 6

• 12:02 a.m. — Police arrested a 51-year-old Corvallis man on warrants for contempt of court at Southwest Technology Loop and Southwest 49th Street in Corvallis.
