The Philomath Park Advisory Board wants to hear from the community to receive input on which path to take when it comes to planning.

As part of the city’s Parks and Trails Master Plan update, local residents are invited to participate in a survey that identifies community needs and priorities for parks, trails, recreation facilities and activities in Philomath.

The deadline to participate in the survey is coming up on March 26. Results will be shared this spring on the city’s website. Take the survey at this link.

The survey includes questions on various aspects of the community’s parks and trails system, such as favorite spots, frequency of usage, common activities, areas of importance, features/facilities and recreational opportunities they would like to see, suggestions on creating more frequent use of trails/bikeways, priorities when it comes to funding and so on.

Information gleaned from the survey results is part of the Park Master Plan update process. Information will be incorporated into an overview of the current state of Philomath’s parks and recreation system and operations.

The city’s Park Master Plan was established in 2013 and last updated in 2016. The city’s Strategic Plan identified the need to update the Park Master Plan this year.

Moore Iacofano Goltsman (MIG) was secured by the city to update the Park Master Plan.
