Editor’s note: This log is based on information submitted to the newspaper by Philomath Fire and Rescue. Locations are approximate. Following is a rundown of all calls for the period of July 14-20:

FRIDAY, JULY 14

• 2:26 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of lines down or arcing in the 1300 block of Houser Lane.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 3:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Heritage Hills Drive.

SATURDAY, JULY 15

• 3:27 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched at 3:27 p.m. to Corvallis Airport to provide assistance with a report of a plane in trouble and coming in to make an emergency landing. Philomath Fire and Rescue was canceled en route, however, when the plane landed with no difficulties.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 1:06 p.m. in the 1000 block of Main Street; 3:40 p.m. in the 800 block of Cattle Drive; 9:09 p.m. in the 1200 block of North 19th Street; and 10:43 p.m. in the 2000 block of Applegate Street.

SUNDAY, JULY 16

• 7:11 p.m. — Firefighters extinguished a grass and car fire following a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of North Ninth Street and West Hills Road. Read a full story on the incident.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 10:38 a.m. in the 100 block of North Seventh Street; 11:05 a.m. in the 1800 block of Main Street; 12:02 p.m. in the 1600 block of Main Street; and 4:56 p.m. in the 25000 block of Falcon Place.

MONDAY, JULY 17

• 1:06 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to the construction site of the new Philomath Family Medicine building on the west end of town for a report of a gas leak. Philomath Fire and Rescue reported that construction workers were removing a sign near a driveway and ruptured a gas line. Firefighters provided protection until NW Natural arrived.

• 2:38 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a small fire in the Blodgett vicinity (Highway 20 near milepost 41). No fire was found.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 9:59 a.m. on Marys Peak Road; 11:27 a.m. in the 1700 block of Bullevard Street; 12:23 p.m. in the 21000 block of Harris Road; and 3:02 p.m. in the 24000 block of Columbine Drive.

TUESDAY, JULY 18

• 4:28 p.m. — Firefighters sent personnel to assist at the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash near Southwest 53rd Street and Southwest Whitby Avenue in Corvallis. One person was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with serious injuries.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 19

• 11:36 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm from a business on Landmark Drive.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 11:42 a.m. in the 1300 block of Cedar Street.

THURSDAY, JULY 20

• 3:35 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a fuel spill in the 300 block of South 33rd Place.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 2:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of North 19th Street and 7:58 p.m. in the 300 block of North 16th Lane.
