Philomath won three of four in singles but visiting Marist Catholic swept the doubles matches to post a 5-3 boys tennis victory Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Andrew Leonard, junior Jackson Rice and sophomore Johnny Pickett each won in singles play. Leonard took a 6-1, 6-1 win over Sam McLoughlin at No. 1; Rice was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Becket Nelson at No. 3; and Pickett took down Jackson Fort, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4.
Marist won at No. 2 singles and all four doubles matches in straight sets.
The Warriors are scheduled to play Thursday at Molalla with the start time set for 4 p.m.
