The Philomath High School softball team dropped to 1-7 on the season Friday with a 15-0 loss at Pendleton.
The Buckaroos (8-3) scored four runs in both the first and second innings and added seven in the fourth to win on the mercy rule.
Philomath struggled in the field with 11 errors.
Pendleton senior Sammantha Wilks had a big game by going 2 for 3 with five RBIs, including a three-run home run in the first inning and two-run double in the fourth. Junior Madaline Schumacher went 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Junior Avery Krigbaum hit a solo home run in the first.
The Warriors were held to one hit — a one-out single by Mia Bennett in the second.
Philomath is scheduled to play at 11 a.m. Saturday at La Grande.
