The Philomath Park Advisory Board plans to meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall to discuss projects for fiscal year 2025-26, according to a published agenda.
The board members will take a look at projects that had been outlined in the city’s Parks and Trails Master Plan, which was adopted by the City Council in 2022. Among those, two are listed as in progress (pedestrian lighting at Philomath City park and a playground at Triangle Park). One project anticipated for 2025-26 is seating and trash-recycling cans at Marys River Park. Invasive vegetation removal at Reservoir Park in the works.
Other projects listed are all on hold — skate park at Philomath City Park, trees and trash-recycling cans at Flossie Overman Discovery Park and ADA-accessible pathways at Marys River Park.
Also on the agenda, the board will select bands for the 2025 Music in the Park summer concert series. This year plans include a kickoff concert featuring Philomath students on May 15 with regular concerts to begin at the end of June.
The board will also elect a chair and vice chair for the year.
In addition to attending the meeting in person, the proceedings can also be viewed on the city’s YouTube channel.
