FRIDAY, MAY 23

• 2:22 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 about 3 miles north of La Pine that took the life of Marvin Lee Cudd Jr., 76, of Sunriver. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Cudd had stopped in a Ford Taurus on the northbound shoulder of Highway 97 facing west perpendicular to the roadway. He began to cross the highway and was struck on the driver’s side by a northbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 43-year-old Christmas Valley man. Cudd was declared deceased at the scene. The Chevrolet’s driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.

SATURDAY, MAY 24

• 6:07 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 about 10 miles southeast of Mishawka that took the life of Michelle Marie Moussan, 59, of Vancouver, Washington. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a 64-year-old Seattle, Washington, man was driving west on Highway 26 when for unknown reasons he crossed the centerline and struck head-on a Nissan Sentra driven by a 62-year-old Austin, Texas, woman. Moussan, a passenger in the Nissan, was declared deceased at the scene. The Nissan’s driver and two other passengers — a 34-year-old Vancouver, Washington, man and a 30-year-old Davis, California, man — reportedly suffered serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital. The Toyota’s driver and a passenger, a 60-year-old Seattle woman, also reportedly suffered serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital.

MONDAY, MAY 26

• 5:16 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 224 near Three Lynx in Clackamas County that took the life of Niko Daniel Harpham, 28, of Oregon City. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Harpham was on a Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle heading east on Highway 224 when he failed to negotiate a corner, slid into the westbound lane and struck head-on a Kia Forte driven by a 21-year-old Molalla man. Harpham was declared deceased after being transported by Life Flight to an area hospital. The Kia’s driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.

THURSDAY, MAY 29

• 7:01 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 at the intersection with Dover Lane south of Madras that took the life of Scott Anthony Pradmore, 36, of Madras. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a Dodge Ram 2500 and trailer driven by a 22-year-old Bend man was headed south on Highway 26 and began to make a left-hand turn onto Dover Lane when a southbound Harley Davidson driven by Pradmore attempted a pass on the left side of the Dodge. The Harley struck the trailer while the Dodge made the turn. Pradmore was declared deceased at the scene. The Dodge’s driver was not injured. OSP reported that an unsafe pass is considered to be the primary cause of the crash.
