THURSDAY, JUNE 11

• 2:41 a.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 205 near Milwaukie that took the life of Sydney Rae Lewis, 25, of West Linn. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Lewis was driving a northbound Volkswagen Jetta when it veered off the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree and a fence. Lewis was pronounced deceased at the scene.

• 8:28 a.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 201 south of Nyssa that took the life of Alisha Nicole Chaney, 35, of Payette, Idaho. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Chaney was driving a northbound Pontiac Vibe near Hyline Road when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck an irrigation ditch and rolled over several times. Chaney was pronounced deceased at the scene. Chaney is not believed to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

SATURDAY, JUNE 13

• 1:38 a.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 near La Grande that took the life of Morgan Moyle Cluff, 25, of Payette, Idaho. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Cluff was driving an eastbound Ford Ranger when the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle continued off the roadway for several hundred feet, rolled several times and Cluff was ejected from the vehicle. Cluff was declared deceased at the scene. OSP reported that Cluff is not believed to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

• 10:01 p.m. — Troopers responded to a vehicle-motorcycle crash on Highway 164 near Albany that took the life of Christopher Adam Brown, 41, of Albany. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a westbound Dodge Ram driven by Jason Richard Jones, 47, of Albany, was traveling on Highway 164 when it collided with Brown’s southbound Honda motorcycle at the intersection of Scravel Hill Road. Brown was declared deceased at the scene. Jones, who was not injured, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, driving while suspended and manslaughter in the second degree and was lodged at the Linn County Jail.

MONDAY, JUNE 15

• 3:53 p.m. — Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 126 near McKenzie Bridge that took the life of John Michael Unrein, 46, of Springfield. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Unrein was driving a westbound Mazda3 near Fisher Road when it crossed the centerline for an unknown reason and collided head-on with an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 51-year-old Veneta woman. The Chevrolet rolled over and came to rest in the westbound lane. The Mazda3 continued in the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a red Hyundai Elantra driven by a 23-year-old woman. Unrein was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Hyundai’s driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The Chevrolet’s driver and an adult passenger were not injured.

TUESDAY, JUNE 16

• 11:21 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 39 near Henley that took the life of Lenayah Priscilla King, 71, of Bonanza. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound Kia Sedona driven by a 38-year-old Merrill woman was traveling near the intersection of Highway 140 when it was struck by a Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by King, who was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Highway 39 to travel northbound. The Chrysler stopped at the stop sign; however, it failed to yield the right of way to southbound traffic. King was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Kia’s driver and two juvenile passengers were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
