MONDAY, AUG. 12
• Noo. — Troopers responded to a crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 84 about 8 miles west of Cascade Locks that took the life of Brookelynn Fetters, 34, of Gresham. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated a Kia Rio driven by Fetters was traveling west in the eastbound lanes, struck a BMW and continued traveling the wrong way. The Kia then attempted to make a U-turn and was struck on the passenger side by a commercial motor vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Vancouver, Washington, man. The collision pushed the Kia into another commercial motor vehicle that was parked on the eastbound shoulder. Fetters was transported to a hospital and later declared deceased. The other motorists involved were reportedly not injured.

Wednesday, Aug. 7 — OSP detectives arrested and charged a Grants Pass man with child sex abuse offenses and are asking additional victims to come forward. Justin Lee Concha, 30, faces multiple sex offense charges and detectives believe additional victims are likely. Concha is suspected of attempting to meet underage juveniles for the purpose of sex. He has been charged with five counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse, five counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse and sexual assault of an animal. OSP said Concha additionally uses an alias of Jay Leslie Frost. If anyone has information, contact OSP’s Southern Command Center at 1-800-442-2068.
Sunday, Aug. 11 — Oregon State Police responded to a road rage incident at 9:40 p.m. on Interstate 5 in Medford.
OSP reports that a silver or light-colored early 2000s Toyota minivan and a red 2022 GMC pickup were traveling south on I-5 when near the South Medford Exit 217, an occupant of the minivan shot at the pickup. The GMC was damaged but no one was injured.

Monday, Aug. 12 — A traffic stop by an OSP K-9 unit netted 60 pounds of fentanyl-laced pills destined for Portland, the agency reported. At around 8 a.m., the trooper stopped a commercial vehicle on Interstate 5 in Jackson County for a traffic violation. During a consent search of the cab, the trooper located two 5-gallon buckets filled with blue pills suspected of being laced with fentanyl. Daniel Pena Gragoso, 42, and Josue Itzel Gomez, 28, both of Mexico, were arrested and charged with possession and delivery of fentanyl and lodged at the Jackson County Jail. The seized pills weighed 60 pounds which is the equivalent of about 276,000 individual pills.
