The Old Mill Center for Children and Families invites all to participate in its 44th annual dinner and auction on Saturday, May 4, at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center on the campus of Oregon State University.

Proceeds from the “Be a Hero for Kids” fundraiser helps the center in its efforts to serve as a full-service provider of preschool, mental health, early intervention and parent support for children and families.

Old Mill Center, located in west Corvallis, has connections to the Philomath community and is the organizer of Lilly’s Lope for Hope, an annual suicide awareness event.

The May 4 fundraiser includes drinks and dining, silent and live auctions, raffle drawings and a paddle raise while providing a fun environment to help local kids and families. Admission tickets cost $100 and can be purchased online. Organizers are asking those who intend to attend to purchase tickets by April 26.

A new car will be raffled off at $100 per ticket with a maximum of 500 tickets sold. The winner can choose between a 2024 Toyota Rav4 or a 2024 Subaru Forester.

In addition to the dinner and auction event, the Old Mill Center is also hosting an online silent auction that launches Saturday, April 27 and runs through Friday, May 3.

The online silent auction will feature hand-crafted items, gift baskets, collectibles, vacations, experiences and more, including an African Safari. Participants will want to check back often during the week to see new items and place their highest bids in an effort to win. Bidder registration opens April 22.
