Shirley Ann Chambers passed away May 29, 2025 at her home in Milwaukie, Oregon. She was 83 years old. Shirley was born June 24, 1941 in Corvallis, Oregon to her late parents, Paul and Dora Webber.

Shirley is survived by her sister Fay Jensen of Salem, OR, her brother Mark (Carla) Webber of Philomath, OR, her son Rick (Debby) Chambers of Philomath, OR, daughter Marcia (Richard) Haney of Milwaukie, OR, daughter Paula Ball of Longview, WA, and daughter Donna Koenig of Marina, CA; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Shirley married Don Chambers and moved to Philomath where they raised their four children. After graduating from Oregon Beauty College she opened and ran Shirley Ann’s Salon of Beauty at her home for over 30 years.

Shirley was a woman who cultivated beauty not just in her garden, but in the lives of those around her. An avid gardener, her vibrant yard and exquisite flowers were a source of joy for her clients and the backdrop for countless cherished family gatherings. She was also an amazing cook, with her baking skills earning her a legendary status among her family and friends. Those apple pies and cinnamon rolls will remain encapsulated in the taste buds and memory of all.
After retiring from her salon, Shirley embraced new chapters with characteristic warmth and dedication. She moved to Oregon City, OR, where she spent several years as a house manager for disabled adults, deeply loving her work and the connections she formed with her clients. Her journey then took her to Salem, OR and later Milwaukie, OR. Everywhere she went Shirley was a social spirit who effortlessly forged amazing friendships.
Viewing will be 3-5 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Shirley’s memory to the Gladstone Senior Center.
