Patrick Lynn Wills, 74, of Corvallis, Oregon, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on 27 December 2024. Born on 23 April 1950, in Longview, Washington, to John Leslie Wills and Pearl Ellen Forslin.

After a childhood in Washington and Utah, Pat graduated from high school in Phoenix, Arizona. Shortly after graduating he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard (USCG) where he served honorably for 20 years, then retired as a Finance and Supply Chief Warrant Officer. While in the service, Pat had his first child, then after a turbulent period, met and married his lifelong love, Michalene Walker, on 18 May 1978. Three more children soon arrived, he completed his BA in Business Management, and then the family retired to Corvallis to permanently settle down on a small farm. After retirement Patrick worked a variety of civilian jobs before realizing he preferred volunteer work where he then spent another 20-plus years serving the USCG in various retiree positions and also 10 years with Philomath Fire & Rescue both as a volunteer and on the fire board.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for most of his life. One of his great loves was helping people with their family history using the resources provided by the church and did so until he no longer had the capability to serve. He loved serving those around him and would always do whatever he could to reach out to anyone he saw in need. He was a cancer survivor and he never let it slow down his ability to help others.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
