VOLUME 7, NUMBER 79
Thursday, April 9, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

The huge book sale that the library folks put on each year is happening this weekend (Friday-Sunday) at the fairgrounds. The latest BCSO Log includes incidents on another troubling gift card scam and a guy doing 109 on Highway 20. We have coverage of last night’s boys volleyball match vs. Cascade, including a gallery by Andy Cripe. Plus, the track team was in action at Cascade, the girls golf team competed in Salem and the softball team survived a scare at Country Christian. We also have county news with a new hire, a preview of a Public Works Committee meeting and in partner content, an Oregon Journalism Project piece on gas prices. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
