VOLUME 7, NUMBER 194
Friday, September 4, 2026
Good morning, Philomath.
The local high school recently won a $5,000 grant and has a shot at a cool million for athletics. The girls volleyball team hosted a match last night against a school it hadn’t played in nine years. In addition to the story, we have a photo gallery from the match. The park board pushed back its skate park discussion. Henderer Design has some business news involving two of its staff. We have a death notice for local resident Jon Bendixen. Oregon Capital Chronicle partner content includes pieces on a Newberg father detained by ICE and dwindling U.S. Fish and Wildlife employee numbers in Oregon. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
