VOLUME 6, NUMBER 183
Friday, September 5, 2025
Good morning, Philomath.
Oh, so close. Philomath High’s volleyball team nearly swept Crescent Valley, last year’s 5A state runner-up, on the road last night but the Raiders survived five match points in the third set and then won the next two to pull out the win. The Dementia Warriors, a Philomath-based organization that has steadily grown since the late Jerry Wylie established it in 2017, is making a charge into an annual Alzheimer’s fundraiser. This was mentioned in a story earlier in the week but the city has a new Public Art Committee that needs community volunteers. Plus, the organizers of a new senior group are penning a column about their monthly get-togethers. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
