Good morning, Philomath.
Have you noticed all of the fish on Philomath Elementary fencing? Well, there’s a story behind that and it involves a couple of teachers, the PTO, the local arts organization, community members, a grandfather in Rainier and of course, the students.
Citizens won’t be voting on a psilocybin ban in Philomath until next spring after the City Council made a $50,000 decision at last night’s meeting. Plus, don’t forget about this week’s huge book sale that serves as a major fundraiser for the Philomath Lions Club. It runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the rodeo grounds.
Today’s Philomath in Photos image pairs a grand, old downtown building with a recent street addition. The Community Calendar includes storytime and playtime late this morning at the library. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
