Philomath Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire at Forest Meadows on North 19th Street Friday afternoon, finding flames that had been largely contained by neighbors before crews arrived.

The department was dispatched at 3:47 p.m. May 22 and responded with nine personnel aboard two engines, a ladder truck and a command vehicle. Dispatch information indicated the fire had started on the front porch of the residence and that neighbors were working to extinguish the flames while the home was being evacuated.

Upon arrival, crews found a manufactured home with fire damage to the front porch. Firefighters confirmed the fire was extinguished and conducted an investigation to ensure the flames had not spread deeper into the structure.

No injuries were reported.
