Philomath Citizen Passes — Louis Perkins, resident of Philomath during recent years, died at his home there early this morning, following a brief illness. The funeral service is to be held from Bovee’s chapel at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, with interment in Newton cemetery. Mr. Perkins was born July 14, 1857, and was aged 65 years.

Lewis Perkins died suddenly Saturday morning at his home in this city. The Perkins family have lived in Philomath a number of years. Besides his widow, he leaves several children, but none of this city.

Louis Perkins, born in Missouri, was married to Martha Ellen Wooley, who died in 1936 at The Dalles. They are buried next to each other in the southeast section of Mount Union Cemetery. Mr. Perkins owned a house on College Street in Philomath at the time of his death.
