John Jefferson McDowell
Death took John Jefferson McDowell, resident of Philomath, at 7:30 this morning. Mr. McDowell passed away at the Corvallis General hospital where he had been a patient the last few days. He was a teamster and had long lived in the Philomath community, where the family resides.
Mr. McDowell was a native of Oregon and was born March 17, 1857. The funeral will be Monday at 2 o’clock from Bovee’s chapel and interment is to be in Newton cemetery.
