RESPECTED CITIZEN
OF PHILOMATH DIES
———
Frank Wyatt, Son of Pioneer,
Suddenly Stricken While at
Work in Fields
———

Frank Wyatt, native Oregonian and a member of the pioneer family of that name, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at the farm home one and one-half miles north of Philomath, his death following a stroke of apoplexy. Mr. Wyatt was stricken at 10 o’clock yesterday morning while working with the threshing crew on his farm and his death followed at 1:40 o’clock.

Mr. Wyatt was born on the farm where he resided on October 5, 1861. He was educated in Benton county schools and had spent practically his entire life in the county. He was married here and his children have been reared in this community. But two members of the immediate family survive him, Sam Wyatt and Miss Eva Wyatt, both of Philomath. He is also survived by his widow, Mrs. Minna B. Wyatt, and several sons and daughters, and there are numerous relatives in Benton county.

The funeral service will be held from the white church in Philomath at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Henderson of Philomath will officiate and burial will be in the Wyatt plot in Newton cemetery.
