Mrs. Anna L. Bane, wife of S.B. Bane, passed away Monday, May 2, 1910, following a prolonged siege of heart trouble. Her death had been momentarily expected the past few weeks, the physicians offering no hope of permanent relief despite the fact that the patient frequently showed marked improvement. The end came peacefully last night at 11 o’clock. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, at 2:30 p.m. at the M.E. church, Rev. S.M. Nickel officiating. The interment will be made in the Newton cemetery.

Mrs. Bane was aged 40 years, 8 months and 17 days. She was an excellent woman, capable and cultured and in the Methodist church was an active worker, sincere and tactful. She sang in the choir and was a valued member of the ladies’ societies. Mrs. Bane was a woman loved very dearly by a wide circle of friends and these, with countless other friends, sympathize deeply with Mr. Bane in this hour of trial.
