Maxtivity Arts and Crafts Creative Space has issued a call for artists to submit works to be featured in the Philomath-based nonprofit organization’s New Year’s fundraiser, which will include a live and silent art auction.

Organizers said 10 pieces will be chosen for the live auction, using a juried selection. Individual artists are asked to submit up to three works, in any medium, through an online application. The call is for art created with the theme “Mardi Gras Masquerade.”

In addition to the 10 pieces selected for the live auction on Dec. 31, Maxtivity is also accepting pieces for a silent auction to be run Dec. 1-12.

All of the art works will be exhibited online in December leading up to the New Year’s Eve fundraiser.

Maxtivity will compensate artists 50% of the total fundraising auction sale price for each of their pieces sold.

The deadline for high-quality images of submissions is 5 p.m. Oct. 30.
