The Philomath City Council and Philomath Fire and Rescue Board of Directors will hold their regular monthly meetings and the Philomath Planning Commission will host a couple of public hearings in the week ahead.

The fire district’s board meets Monday afternoon at its Main Street station for a meeting that will include a budget hearing. In the evening, the City Council meets with an agenda that includes the next steps involved with the Landmark Drive Local Improvement Project, which involves setting assessments to go out to property owners. The street project, which was completed in 2023, ended up costing $857,906.

Also on the council’s agenda is a resolution to authorize a refund of park system development charges that Millpond Crossing’s developer paid between 2021 and 2024 before the implementation of a new park SDC methodology. The developer requested a refund and the city manager recommended that it be issued to provide funding that could help the builder complete the housing development’s latest phase.

The Planning Commission will meet Tuesday for a public hearing, discussion and decision on the 26-lot Noel Heights subdivision, a 6.95-acre property located on the north end of Seventh Street between Fawn Lane and Quail Glenn Drive. Hillside and erosion control factors into the applications.
