The College United Methodist Church announced the return of its popular omelet dinners with the first one coming up on Friday, Sept. 6.
The event, which features made-to-order omelets, will run from 5-7 p.m. in the church’s social hall.
The menu features a French omelet with a choice of fillings (ham, green onions, green peppers, jack or cheddar cheese, mushrooms, salsa). Prices are $8 for a regular omelet; $9 for a deluxe omelet with scones and gravy; $6 for a child’s omelet (ages 10 and under) and $7 for scones and gravy. Fruit, scones and a beverage (coffee, teak, milk, water or juice) are included. Homemade desserts are available for a donation.
The omelet dinners date back to 1988 to help raise money to help pay parsonage property taxes.
The omelet dinner events take place on the first Friday of most months — exceptions being April when a spaghetti dinner is offered and over the summer months of July and August.
The church is located at 1123 Main St., next to the Philomath Museum.
