The Friends of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library will host a book sale Sept. 22-24 in conjunction with the Corvallis Fall Festival, organizers announced.
The book sale will take place in the main meeting room at the Corvallis Library and will benefit activities at all library locations — Alsea, Corvallis, Monroe, Philomath and the bookmobile.
The sale begins Friday with members-only access from 2-3:30 p.m. before opening up to the general public from 3:30-5 p.m. The event continues for all from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Items on Sunday will be half off.
Memberships to Friends of the Library will be sold at the door Friday to those interested in attending the members-only hours.
Items for sale will include high-quality paperbacks for adults and children, both fiction and nonfiction. Also for sale will be DVDs and music CDs. Organizers describe the items as reasonably priced with a large selection.
The Corvallis Library is located at 645 NW Monroe Ave.
The Corvallis Fall Festival runs Saturday (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) in Central Park, which is located across the street from the library.
Friends of the Library welcomes more volunteer help to transport and sell books. If interested, send an email to FOLCorvallis.Volunteer@gmail.com.
